Johnny Tovar

Johnny played four year at the University of California, Riverside and also played for the U16 U.S National Team. During his time at UC Riverside and also Arsenal FC he played as an attacking midfielder. His favorite soccer player is Isco from Real Madrid. One of his favorite memories of playing was when he participated in a tournament in Italy with Arsenal. He have two years of coaching experience involving Club, CB3 privates, and for our Arena Soccer League.

Tyler Schrock


Tyler has been playing soccer since he was 4 years old. He went throughout all of the club stages in his soccer career from bronze level to premier. He made varsity soccer at Upland High School as a freshman and continued all four years and was captain of the team two of the years. He is now going on to continue his soccer career at Cal State University of San Marcos for Fall ‘17! He plays center mid and his favorite soccer player is Dele Alli. My favorite soccer team is Tottenham Hotspurs!


Ali Khalil

Ali has 2 years of coaching experience with club soccer and also experienced playing the highest level of club soccer for the past 8 years. He has played for the Upland High School Boys Varsity soccer team for the last 3 years and has received awards such as offensive MVP, First Team All Baseline League, and First Team All CIF. His favorite soccer memory would be scoring the winning goal against their rivals, Chino Hills, to win the Baseline League. His favorite professional soccer player would be Kylian Mbappé due to his incredible skills and being considered one of the best wingers in the world at the age of 18.


Jimmy Nordberg - CB3 Head Trainer

Jimmy grew up playing club soccer in Alta Loma for the 1979 Arsenal. Upon graduating from Rancho Cucamonga High School in 1997, he played soccer at Azusa Pacific University from 1997-1998, before transferring to Cal State San Bernardino where he played from 1999-2001. During college, Jimmy earned all American honors as 1st team All Far West, All GSAC and CCAA all-conference honors. After college he played from 2002-2003 for the Salt Lake City Blitzz.

Jimmy began his coaching career while still in college at Arsenal FC from 1999-2002. He then returned from Salt Lake City and was appointed Director of Coaching for the Apple Valley Storm Soccer Club from 2003-2004. In 2004, Jimmy left Apple Valley Storm to become the Director of Coaching for the Arsenal FC Boys Program. During this time Jimmy also joined the Men's staff at the University Riverside at California where he served as an assistant coach until 2008. He has been a Region IV Staff Coach since 2008. Jimmy has had extensive experience training many local club teams for over 10 years. He currently is the Academy Director of FC Golden State.

Jimmy holds an "A" License for coaching from the United States Soccer Federation, and has worked hand in hand with European Clubs over the years, learning what it takes to develop players in America. Jimmy has developed a progressive curriculum for our athletes constructed from his experience with coaching in America and abroad.

 Jimmy runs CB3 Skills Academy on Wednesday’s and Friday’s and also coaches private training sessions throughout the week.



Ibrahim Khalil


Ibra played 4 years of soccer at Upland High School and then went right into coaching. In high school he played the center back position. He currently coaches Junior Varsity at Upland High School as well as a girls ’03 Celtic Club team and a boys ’00 Golden State FC team. He has been coaching for 3 years. His favorite soccer player is Zinedine Zidane because he loves the way he plays. His favorite soccer memory is all the years he spent playing at Upland High School. 

Natalie Copenhaver

Natalie has been playing soccer since she was 5 years old. She has played in every stage of soccer starting at AYSO and moving up to Club level. She made varsity at Upland High School as a freshman and went on to play all four years. Natalie also had the privilege to captain the team her junior and senior year of high school. She is now going on to continue her soccer career at the University of San Diego this fall ‘17! Her favorite soccer memory was in her senior year of high school soccer they won Baseline League and it was one of the greatest feelings she had ever experienced. Her positions on the field range anywhere from left back to attacking mid. Lastly, her favorite soccer player is Marcelo Vieira!

Daniel Lopez

 Daniel has played many levels of soccer. He grew up playing for Arsenal FC and has also played for semi-pro teams including Riverside Coras, Corinthians USA, Strikers FC & L.A. Wolves. This is his second season in the National Premier Soccer League and he currently plays with Riverside Coras. He can play several different positions such as winger, outside back, or an attacking/holding midfielder, but his favorite is holding mid so that he can play defensive and attacking roles. He has 2 years of coaching experience and his favorite soccer play is Messi because of his versatility.
